TFA PF4P10 G, 4Plex from our new Performance Series line
The Performance Series Line of powercords aims to extract the last bit of performance from the materials used in construction and ultimately create a product that is greater than the sum of its parts. We do this by applying processes and modifications to the materials to address shortcomings or further enhance the strong points of the component parts.
On the TFA PF4P10 G we accomplish this goal by using our proprietary Deep Cryogenic Treatment on the cable and 4Plex outlet and by using our "Perfect Fit" modification on the Furutech FI-11-N1 connector.
The "Perfect Fit" modification involves replacing the metal cable clamps with the older style plastic clamps and using a lathe to bore out the inside diameter of the clamp so that it is a Perfect Fit for the cable. This accomplishes two things, it prevents distortion of the cable geometry under full clamping force and eliminates the loose fit between cable clamp and connector backshell.
Our "Perfect Fit" modification ensures the cables geometry and measurements are not negatively impacted when full clamping force is applied. This modification also eliminates the rattling between backshell and cable clamp which is common when the FI-11 connectors are used with large diameter cables, this further reduces noise and improves focus.
Cryogenics: All the parts used to build this cable have been
Cryogenically Processed. The Furutech connector has been processed by
Furutech and the balance of the parts have been through our proprietary Deep
Cryogenic Process. We perform the Cryogenic Processing on-site using a Cryotron
processor which is fueled by Liquid Nitrogen. This process enhances the performance of the
cable and connectors giving you improved dynamics, lower noise, smoother highs
and improved soundstage dimensions. This process and its benefits can be found
in all our cables.
The TFA PF4P10 G is a triple shielded 9.8 awg powercord based on the Gotham 85055, featuring triple shielded stranded copper conductors with PE insulation. Full specs on the cable can be found HERE
All contact points are treated with DeoxIT Gold before installation of the Furutech FI-11-N1 IEC and Hubbell HBL420HI 4Plex outlet. 4Plex termination is done with DCT copper base ring terminals which are crimped on. We install your choice of PET sleeve on the cable for protection and then finish with printed shrinktubes at both ends.
The TFA PF4P10 G is very flexible for a large gauge fully shielded cord and is well suited for expanding the number of available outlets for the higher current demand components in your system.
Cable Measurements

Our measurements are done on actual finished cables,
these results can be quite different than the manufacturer specs for
the same cable. Measurements for raw unterminated cables are usually
based on conductor-conductor and conductor-shield readings on long
lengths of unterminated cable.
These
per ft measurements are a good guideline to determine the suitability
of a cable for an application but in most cases they cannot be
extrapolated to give you the specs of a given length of finished cable.
The reason for this is that they do not take into consideration the
variables that come into play when a cable is terminated such as
telescoped shields, conductor grouping and the connectors themselves. The results below are for the finished cable of the noted length. |

If you have your cables pre-conditioned (burned in) on our audiodharma Cable Cooker they will require only a minimal amount of time to reach their full potential, typically about one day of normal use to settle in and another 2-3 days of normal use to reach about 90-95% of it's full potential.
