TFA 2893 DIN - RCA Phono Cable, Deep Cryo Treated
These cables are designed to connect your Male DIN terminated tonearm to the phono stage. The 2893 Phono can be ordered in several lengths to suit your needs.
Mogami 2893 is
a mini balanced quad structure which is effective for high definition sound transmission as well as in canceling electromagnetic induction caused by nearby equipment. Super-flexible Quad-balanced NEGLEX OFC conductors and Overall Served (spiral) Shield provide maximum definition, detail and signal transparency.
Cable Measurements
Our measurements are done on actual finished cables,
these results can be quite different than the manufacturer specs for
the same cable. Measurements for raw unterminated cables are usually
based on conductor-conductor and conductor-shield readings on long
lengths of unterminated cable.
These
per ft measurements are a good guideline to determine the suitability
of a cable for an application but in most cases they cannot be
extrapolated to give you the specs of a given length of finished cable.
The reason for this is that they do not take into consideration the
variables that come into play when a cable is terminated such as
telescoped shields, conductor grouping and the connectors themselves. The results below are for the finished cable of the noted length.

The base $219.95 (CDN) cable set consists of:
(1) 3ft set Deep Cryo Treated Mogami 2893 DIN to RCA Interconnect terminated with Furutech FP-126(G) Gold plated RCA connectors and 1877 TAD-3 straight DIN c/w 3.5 ft terminated ground wire.
The Furutech FP-126(G) are premium quality RCA connectors featuring copper alloy body with Teflon insulation and OCC centre pin, all contacts are Gold plated. Solder termination is done using a precision OK International MFR Cartridge System and Mundorf Silver/Gold solder.
After the connectors are attached the connector is filled with damping material which also seals the connections from the atmosphere. The connector is then secured with a special stainless setscrew.
We use the same potting technique in the 1877 TAD-3 DIN as well, the TAD-3 uses pure PTFE insulation and pure copper contacts which are Gold plated. This cable can be ordered with right angle 1877 TAD-2R also.
This combination of top quality parts, cryogenics and precision termination make a phono cable that will give you years of service and enjoyment. Burn-in is highly recommended with all phono cables.
Select
the cable length you need for your application, then press the order
button. The total cost of the cable will appear in the shopping cart at
the top of the right hand navigation bar. Click
"view cart" to see an itemized list of your order. Shipping
cost and any applicable taxes will be applied during checkout. Once the order is placed the cables are constructed
to your specs and will ship next business day unless you decide to have
them pre-conditioned on our cable cooker. Please allow four days for
the pre-conditioning process.
If you have your cables pre-conditioned
(burned in) on our audiodharma Cable Cooker they will require only a
minimal amount of time to reach their full potential, typically about one
day of normal use to settle in and another 2-3 days of normal use to
reach about 90-95% of it's full potential.
The parts used in this cable have been Deep Cryo Treated by Take Five Audio, click HERE for full details on our process.
