3173 Performance Series Balanced XLR
Our Deep Cryo Treated Performance Series Balanced Cables are constructed from Mogami 3173 and terminated with Furutech FP-701(G)/702(G) XLR connectors. These custom XLR cables can be ordered in the lengths up to 75 ft.
Mogami 3173 is a 110 Ohm AES/EBU cable that has been designed for long runs. The cable uses two 18 awg copper conductors with a served shield and drain wire. Although specifically designed for long digital connections this cable delivers an exceptional performance as an analog cable.
Cable Measurements
Our measurements are done on actual finished cables,
these results can be quite different than the manufacturer specs for
the same cable. Measurements for raw unterminated cables are usually
based on conductor-conductor and conductor-shield readings on long
lengths of unterminated cable.
These
per ft measurements are a good guideline to determine the suitability
of a cable for an application but in most cases they cannot be
extrapolated to give you the specs of a given length of finished cable.
The reason for this is that they do not take into consideration the
variables that come into play when a cable is terminated such as
telescoped shields, conductor grouping and the connectors themselves. The results below are for the finished cable of the noted length.

(1) 3 ft 3173 Performance Series Balanced Interconnect terminated with Furutech FP-701(G)/702(G) XLR connectors using Mundorf Silver/Gold solder. The price will adjust automatically when you choose a different length. PLEASE NOTE: the base price is for 1 cable, if you need a stereo pair (or more) change the quantity to the number required. You can order as many cables as you need, in different lengths and terminations by hitting the "order" button after selecting each cable.

cost and any applicable taxes will be applied during checkout. Once the order is placed the cables are constructed
to your specs and will ship next business day unless you decide to have
them pre-conditioned on our cable cooker. Please allow five days for
the pre-conditioning process.
If you have your cables pre-conditioned
(burned in) on our audiodharma Cable Cooker they will require only a
minimal amount of time to reach their full potential, typically about one
day of normal use to settle in and another 2-3 days of normal use to
reach about 90-95% of it's full potential.
