TFA 5080 OFC Single Pole Speaker Cables
cables are constructed from Neotech NEMOS 5080 Rectangular Solid Core
OFC speaker cable which has been put through our Deep Cryogenic
Treatment process. This cable has eight Teflon insulated rectangular
conductors that combined total 11.5 awg.
Rather than split the cable into two 14.5 awg conductor groupings for
each of the positive and negative poles our design uses one complete
11.5 awg cable per pole. The audible benefits of this design are
improved dynamics and soundstage dimensions. These cables have a smooth response, great dynamics and huge soundstage. By varying the distance between or twisting the individual cables the soundstage dimensions can be altered.
cables electrical measurements also change depending on how the cables
are positioned. For this reason I give two sets of LCR measurements. One
measurement is with the cables lying close together and the other is
with a gentle 1 revolution per ft twist in the cables.
Neotech NEMOS-5080 cable features an original design using parallel individually insulated
conductors of rectangular cross-section, densely packed in PVC outer
sheath. The conductors are made of Oxygen Free Copper OFC, insulation
material is Teflon and polyethylene.
This cable is made of 4 cores (2x red
and 2x black) each measuring 6.5mm x 1.65mm. With 2 rectangular copper
conductors in each core, the copper measures 1.83mm x 0.25mm making a
total of 14.5 AWG (1.85 SQMM) for the 4x signal conductors, and 14.5 AWG
for the 4x return. Each copper conductor is then Teflon insulated, the 4
cores are then insulated with a layer of Polyethylene before a PVC

Our measurements are done on actual finished cables,
these results can be quite different than the manufacturer specs for
the same cable. Measurements for raw unterminated cables are usually
based on conductor-conductor and conductor-shield readings on long
lengths of unterminated cable.
per ft measurements are a good guideline to determine the suitability
of a cable for an application but in most cases they cannot be
extrapolated to give you the specs of a given length of finished cable.
The reason for this is that they do not take into consideration the
variables that come into play when a cable is terminated such as
telescoped shields, conductor grouping and the connectors themselves. The results below are for the finished cable of the noted length.

rectangular conductors used in these cables need special care and
construction techniques when terminating to produce a great sounding
cable that has the durability required to stand up to everyday use and
sound great for years to come. The rectangular conductors are stripped
using thermal strippers to avoid any scoring of the conductors, they are
then carefully arranged and treated with DeoxiT Gold.

We offer the Furutech FT-211(G)
spades as the standard termination on these cables and also offer the Furutech FT-212(G)
locking bananas as an option. Bi-wiring is possible with this design
simply by using spades on one set and bananas on the other at the
amplifier end if your amp has only one set of binding posts.

reach about 90-95% of it's full potential.
