RCA Analog Input Shorting Plugs
These RCA shorting plugs are a dead short and are designed for use on unused analog RCA INPUTS ONLY.
Our plugs are made from Neutrik 352G RCA connectors which are internally shorted and then connected using Mundorf solder.
The plug is then assembled and filled with hot melt adhesive to provide damping. The finished plug then has an identifying shrinktube applied, this provides additional damping and the all important warning.
Our plugs have a small finished diameter and are suitable for use on most units with very close connector spacing (12.5 mm center-center).

These shorting plugs are more than just covers for vacant RCA inputs. Inserting these plugs will short-circuit the input and stop any RF noise from getting inside the circuit. With the shorting plugs installed you will improve the S/N ratio which can lead to a dramatic improvement in sound quality. If the inputs on your particular preamp use relays to short them when not in use these plugs will offer no sonic benefit.
