Custom Neotech NES-3005 MK II Deep Cryo Treated Speaker Cables
The Neotech NES-3005 MK II is a 13 AWG (per pole) speaker cable utilizing 6
individually (polypropylene) insulated, multi-gauge, UP-OCC copper / UP-OCC silver plated copper
conductors. This is an excellent cable for 2 channel or home theatre installation.
Neotech has long been a leader in
producing wire and cable using "single crystal" UP-OCC Copper,
developed by Professor Ohno of the Chiba Institute of Technology in
Japan. UP-OCC copper is at least 99.99998% pure, and has an average
crystal size of 125 meters. Compare this to the average
crystal size of Oxygen Free Copper, which is .02 meters (3/4"). UP-OCC
copper and silver are considered the ultimate in copper and silver
conductor technology today.
The base $182.94 (CDN) cable consists of:
(1) 6 ft Neotech NES-3005 MK II Deep Cryo Treated speaker cable with tightweave PET sleeve terminated with either Vampire HDS 5
spades, Vampire HDS3 spades, Vampire BAR barrier spades or Multi-Contact LS4 bananas. The price will adjust
automatically when you choose a different length. PLEASE NOTE: the base price is for 1 cable,
if you need a stereo pair (or more) change the quantity to the number
required. You can order as many cables as you need, in different lengths
and terminations by hitting the "order" button after selecting each
use only high quality Deep Cryo Treated Copper Alloy connectors on our custom cables. The Deep Cryo Treated Vampire HDS5 is a
direct gold plated, copper alloy spade. The HDS5 is a 1/4" spade that will fit standard 1/4" binding posts. The Vampire HDS3 is the same construction as the HDS5 but is designed to fit 5/16" binding posts.
The Deep Cryo Treated Vampire BAR barrier spade is available for those of you who are connecting speakers with barrier spade connections such as Vandersteen or certain tube amplifiers with barrier spade output terminals.
We also offer 4mm banana connections. We are using the Deep Cryo Treated Multi-Contact LS4 banana because of the excellent sonics and low mass. The rolled design
of these connectors makes a tight fit in every binding post we have
tried them in. Solder termination is done using a precision OK International MFR Cartridge System and Mundorf Silver/Gold solder.
Our spade connectors are applied using a high pressure die which creates a
"gas tight" crimp connection. The wire is also given a generous
treatment of DeoxIt Gold before the spade is pressed on to ensure the lowest contact resistance and inhibit corrosion.
Spade and banana
connections are covered with adhesive lined Polyolefin shrinktube to
offer strain relief and to help seal the connection point and conductor
from the environment. Amplifier and speaker leads are colour coded with shrinktube. We only use
high grade Crosslinked Polyolefin shrinktube in our cable construction.
Get Started by selecting the length of cable you need to reach from your amplifier to your speakers. Next, select the type of termination you want on the speaker end of the
cables. You have the same choices here as on the amplifier end with one
exception, you may opt for single or bi-wired cables. As with the
amplifier terminations, be sure to check your speaker binding posts to
see which size spade you require.
Review your length, termination selections and the quantity. If everything is
correct, then press the order button. The total cost of the cable with
the options you selected will appear in the shopping cart at the top of
the right hand navigation bar. Click "view cart" to see an itemized list of the cables ordered.
cost and any applicable taxes will be applied during checkout. Once the order is placed the cables are constructed
to your specs and will ship next business day unless you decide to have
them pre-conditioned on our cable cooker. Please allow four days for
the pre-conditioning process.
If you have your cables pre-conditioned
(burned in) on our audiodharma Cable Cooker they will require only a
minimal amount of time to reach their full potential, typically about one
day of normal use to settle in and another 2-3 days of normal use to
reach about 90-95% of it's full potential.
The parts used in this cable have been Deep Cryo Treated by Take Five Audio, click HERE for full details on our process.
