Used this cable, cryo'd Neutrik connectors & Mundorf silver/gold solder to replace a pair of Belden XLRs from another company. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Imaging and detail improved without any added harshness. You can make good cables with Belden, Canare, Mogami, Gotham,etc; but these are a step up.

I built some interconnects using this product and they sound very similar to my much more expensive acoustic zen cables(both using single crytal copper, go figure). for well under 100 bucks you can make a pair of cables that sound quite good. go for it !
